Emily's Top Mini - English

5.00

Emily’s Top Mini is knitted from the top and down with an opening at the back for easy dressing over the head. All edges are decorated with a delicate and feminine daisy stitch border, and a ribbon is used to elegantly close the top at the back. The armholes are shaped with a classical raglan construction.

Sizes

0-1 (1-3) 3-6 (6-9) 9-12 (12-18) 18-24 months (3) years

Measurements

Chest width: approx. 41 (43) 47.5 (49.5) 53.5 (56) 58.5 (61) cm [16.25 (17) 18.75 (19.5) 21.25 (22) 23 (24.25) inches]

Length from neck edge mid-‐front to waist edge: approx. 23 (24) 25.5 (27) 28.5 (30) 33 (35) cm [9 (9.5) 10 (10.5) 11.25 (11.75) 13 (13.75) inches]

Gauge

29 stitches x 40 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] (in stocking stitch on a 3.00 mm [US2½] needle).

Suggested needle size: 3.00 mm [US2½] circular needle (60 cm (24 inches) or 80 cm (31.5 inches)), 3.00 mm [US2½] double-‐pointed needles for sleeves (sleeves may also be worked using magic loop technique if preferred). Although it is possible to work the daisy stitch on regular needle tips, I do recommend lace needles (i.e. with pointy tips). Make a swatch before you start knitting to ensure that your gauge is correct. Depending on how you knit, you may need to go up or down half a needle size to meet the gauge. Gauge in the suggested yarn is measured after washing and blocking of a swatch.
